PATRICK COX

All the bikes were fun to make but the Patrick Cox bike was a particular favourite. Above is the carcas for the sound system. Beautifully upholstered in Italian leather by Matthew at http://www.sewwatless.blogspot.com/

BIKES
I have just finished a project with W Hotels and The Elton John Aids Foundation.
I worked with Patrick Cox, Ron Arad, Natasha Law, Alice Temperley and Paloma Faith to produce bikes that guests at the Leciester Square W Hotel could use as well as enjoy as artworks. In October they will then be auctioned by EJAF.
In addition I was asked to produce a bike for W Hotels in New York and not make it too Statue of Liberty and Yellow Cab kitsh. I used the Manhattan Grid as a starting point.
The other starting point for the 6 bikes I produced was the iconic modern classic 14 Bike Co. ESB frame and forks designed by Edward James.TED JAMES DESIGNS ESB
